Cookbook Memories


My Mom gave me the famous Better Homes & Garden cookbook for my wedding shower years ago. As a new bride back in the seventies, I memorized each recipe. The yellow bowl shown in the picture belonged to my Mom which she received as a wedding gift in 1949. I loved to bake growing up so this bowl got used quite a bit making chocolate chip cookies, banana bread and Christmas cookies.

Wild About You!
My Mom always visited my store on Christmas since it's only 3 minutes from my house. She got such a kick out of this new Valentine design that I had just done for Valentines 2008. She said you'll sell hundreds of them. Who wouldn't want one! She always gave me words of encouragement when I would get down on my business. I still have one on display in my store because she laughed so hard and was so happy that she could spend Christmas with her whole family.
